Welcome to Incubateme’s newsletter, written by Alice Zhang and edited by Rithu Rajagopala.
Dear all,
Last week we had a wildly popular workshop on harnessing your voice with Melanie Espeland, a voice actor and exMckinsey consultant. She has found a unique niche that she can help: business professionals looking to improve their leadership and communication skills.
She shared quite a few techniques to improve the effectiveness of your voice right away. If you have a few minutes, please give them a try! I found it is also a great way to be distracted from the election-induced anxiety!
Key techniques she taught are:
Breathe from your diaphragm
Push your tongue a bit forward
Use your other facial articulators more
Inflict downward to sound more firm
Others - adjusting speed, getting rid of filler words, pausing, and sounding melodic
Please do check out the recording section below to watch the video clips!
I’d also like to give you a heads-up that Incubateme is actively working with partners to bring you excellent content with the mission to empower entrepreneurial-minded folks to work for yourself, whether through a side hustle or full-time gig.
If you are interested in working as a free agent for yourself, while connecting with like-minded people, please join our community below.
And stay tuned for more details next time!
